TODAY’S trip to Nottingham Forest will be a little bit special for three members of the Burnley coaching staff.

Manager Sean Dyche, his assistant Ian Woan and first team coach and first team coach Tony Loughlan will all be making a return to where their career in football began.

All three started their careers at the City Ground, when Nottingham Forest were managed by the great Brian Clough.

While Dyche failed to make a first team appearance and Loughlan’s Forest career was blighted by injury, Woan made over 250 appearances in over a decade at the City Ground and played in the 1991 FA Cup Final.

He said: “I had 11 good years there. Forest was a fantastic club.

“I think what you learn from Mr Clough is the honesty and the manners and the way you conduct yourself.

“Now we are here and it’s a great club to be at.”
