THEY'VE been telling us how to dress for years, disguising and hiding all those unwanted lumps and bumps.

So why oh why have they encouraged the nation to strip for the basis of their new show The Great British Body?

Apparently, Trinny and Susannah want to help change the way we view our bodies by rejoicing in our similarities and celebrating the qualities that make our shapes unique.

But it's all a bit odd if you ask me.

During the last couple of months they've urged people to send in their body measurements and take part in a mass naked sculpture for The Great British Body.

They say they wanted to find out emerging body trends, get the nation's vital statistics and find out what people really think of their bodies.

Well they weren't wrong when they thought that the British public probably suffer a negative view about their bodies - overweight, unattractive, or at least not as attractive as at least one of their friends.

But I have one major problem with this show: the presenters. They are about as much an advert for loving what's on the inside of a person as a chocolate bar would be for a healthy eating campaign.

The way they obsess on theirs and others' appearances is almost unnatural.

They can't pretend to everyone that you should love who you are, no matter what.
