Preston optician and part-time rocker Mark Hurlbut took on the role of protest musician at his band's latest gig this week.
Mark, who is a member of the rock band Revisit, performed as part of a protest against and at the American Military's base at Menwith Hill, near Harrogate.
The group, which also features rocking reverend and lead singer Phil Chew, guitarist Graham Chapel and drummer John Mayer, performed their new single We're Under Attack and a cover of Green Day's American Idiot at the show, which took place just yards from the base.
Mark said: "There is a yellow line and we were warned by police that if we crossed it then we could be arrested for trespassing but thankfully everything went well.
"It was a good protest with about 20 people there.
"The sound wasn't the best because we only had a small generator to power everything and it was cold as well but everyone enjoy it.
"American Idiot went down so well we had to play it three times."
The group are getting plenty of attention and have already had interviews with Rock FM and Blackburn's The Bee radio stations this week.
Mark added: "Things seem to be going well and we have some pluggers on the case trying to get the song on the radio.
"We have a few more gigs in the pipeline and are heading back to Menwith on July 4 which is Independence Day so that could cause a stir."
