Britain's Got Talent returned to our screens tonight as acts tried to impress the judges tonight with their unique talents in the 17th series of the show.

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli returned to the judging panel with Anthony (Ant) McPartlin and Declan (Dec) Donnelly back as hosts.

Tonight a Japanese dance group completely stole the show.

It was 'Cyberagent Legit's' first time in London.

Ant and Dec "loved" their outfits, with Ant being so transfixed fixed he accidentally headbutted part of the stage props.

Simon concurred whilst they were on stage: "You look great by the way".

Their futuristic in-synch dance moves arguably made up for what many viewers deemed a lacklustre episode.

After the group had finished, the slow-motion cut scenes could mean only one thing...a golden buzzer was imminent.

"The whole place is on their feet!" shouted Dec, "Even the judges!"

"That was my favourite act of the day," Simon said, before hitting the golden buzzer to everyone's delight.

Britain's Got Talent: Golden buzzer for amazing young girl

Last week

Saturday's episode saw two gold buzzers awarded - one to 28-year-old singer Sydnie Christmas who dazzled the judges with her voice and the other to Ssaulabi Performance Troupe who impressed with their taekwondo skills.

On Sunday, Dixon hit the golden buzzer for Ravi’s Dream Team - a choir led by a boy with a brain tumour.

Several other acts have also made it through to the semi-finals including 10-year-old dancer Trey Braine, and Genevieve Cote - who provided sounds of nature and athletic stunt man Arbon.

Those who make it through the audition stages will progress to the semi-finals and move a step closer to being crowned Britain's next superstar.

The winner of the series will take home the £250,000 cash prize and earn a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.

After a double bill of BGT last weekend on Saturday and Sunday, there will just be one episode this week which will air tonight (April 27).
