PASSENGERS on Bolton's bus network are enjoying an improved service, according to a Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority (GMPTA) report.
At Bolton Local Transport Public Forum, transport bosses revealed there had been improvements in reliability and punctuality.
Reliability - the percentage of bus servuices that ran - reached 99 per cent on buses between April and June this year. The figure is a seven per cent improvement on the same period in 2005.
Punctuality has increased by two per cent since December 2005, reaching 84 per cent between January and March, but dipping to 83 per cent in June this year.
Cllr Nick Peel, Bolton Council's spokesman on GMPTA, said: "We are pleased that operators are meeting the targets.
"I still receive complaints about buses running early or late, so it's not perfect. However, I think operators are generally making an effort, as we can see from these figures."
Anyone with a complaint about a bus service should collect a GMPTA complaint form from the travel shop at their local bus station.
