A POP singer from Bolton is hoping to hit their heights of chart success with her debut single.

Jessica Moon, aged 17, of Barrow Bridge, released Eyes on You on Monday.

And the song the video for which features Bolton boxer Amir Khan is already proving a hit with music lovers who are snapping up copies.

It has also won national airplay on Magic FM and the BBC's Asian radio network.

Jessica, who is currently on a tour of the UK to promote her single, said: "Things are really exciting at the moment. I have been really busy over the past few weeks, which is great.

"Now I'm just hoping the single does well."

Jessica, a former pupil of Thornleigh Salesian College, left school a year ago and moved to London to work on her music career. Now the teenager, originally from Harwood, is being widely touted as the next big thing in the know in the music industry.

Her single, which is on the Universal label, was originally scheduled for release in October last year. But that date was put back to May 1 following a decision by her management team.

Jessica has also pledged her support to a charity hat auction in aid of the Deborah.org charity. The organisation raises cash and awareness of the genetic skin blistering condition EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa).

EB was brought to the public's attention by Jonny Kennedy, whose life and death was featured in the award-winning documentary The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off.

The auction was launched on eBay on April 27 and runs until May 21.
