I am not one for writing letters to the Lancashire Telegraph but feel I must comment on a mention by Chris Flanagan in his World Cup diary of Thursday, 10th June, when he appears unaware that the Union Jack is only known as the Union Jack when it is flown at sea.
At all other times it should be referred to as the Union Flag.
This may seem trivial to some but people fought for the flag so it is only right to give the flag its correct title. On a lighter note, I thought Mr Flanagan's lookalike was quite good. Keep up the good work.
