IF an unemployed drug addict gets £200 a week in benefits to fund his habit, then I am left wondering why I bother going out to work.
I am sure lots of others who read your story about the Slash-attack addict (LT 11/06/10) felt the same. This story sums up the benefits system. It needs a complete overhaul.
Make people earn their benefits by cleaning the streets or something, then they might learn the value of things.
