I must commend Mr N Preston of Carrington Avenue for his plea to people to treat Aspergers people with respect.
Being a grandmother of a 12-year-old boy, I know how Aspergers syndrome can affect them.
When he attended a local junior school, no one had any under-standing of his disability. He was bullied by peers on many occasions.
Teachers also should be educated in understanding to spot this disability. Even my grandson's best friend betrayed him.
Where does this put us in a Christian light? Take Mr Preston's advice and treat these people with loving respect.
MRS E BIRTWISTLE, Brantwood Ave, Knuzden.
