Police are looking for a Lancaster man after an assault in Blackburn.

Ronald Grimes, 34, formerly of Green Street, Lancaster, is believed still to be in the area, although he does have connections in Liverpool and Birkenhead.

He was originally jailed for robbery in May 2004 when he was imprisoned for 6 years.

He was released from prison on licence but has failed to comply with the conditions of that licence and so has been recalled to prison.

He is wanted for questioning in connection with an assault that happened in Blackburn in May.

Grimes is described as being around 5 feet 10 inches tall with blue eyes and he has a Merseyside accent.

He has four large scars on his lower left arm, and Chinese letter tattoos on both of his arms and a four-inch scar on his right knee.
