A LANCASHIRE dignitary has been invited to the Royal Wedding on April 29.
Lancashire's Lord Lieutenant, Baron Charles Kay-Shuttleworth, who lives in Leck near Carnforth, is among 1,900 people who are getting ready to attend Prince William and Kate Middleton's big day.
The abbey congregation is expected to feature celebrities, top politicians, heads of state and royalty from across the world.
Baron Kay-Shuttleworth is part of the Shuttleworth family who lived in Gawthorpe Hall, Padiham, for 400 years before passing ownership to the National Trust in 1972.
