RESIDENTS in Pendle can expect to see improvements to some homes in their local area as the ‘Up My Street’ project moves into its second phase.

The project, funded by Elevate East Lancashire, aims to identify houses that would benefit from improvements by working with local residents and Neighbour-hood Action Groups.

Coun Sonia Robinson, in charge of Housing Regeneration in Pendle, said: “The project is different to the current major works involved with the Housing Market Renewal scheme.

"It gives groups of residents the chance to come forward and suggest minor improvements to the fronts of their houses.”

Two streets in Colne, Brierfield, and Nelson, will be chosen for the scheme.
