A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Prestwich this morning.
Police were called to a house in Bury Old Road at 6.30am where they discovered a 33-year-old man dead in bed. Initial reports suggest he had been strangled although a post mortem will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.
A 26-year-old woman, believed to be the man's wife, was arrested at the scene.
The property has been sealed off by police who are currently carrying out forensic examinations at the scene.
