Two Nelson men accused of trying to con more than £19,000 out of a building society will have their cases heard at Burnley Crown Court.
Imad Uddin, 19, of Kent Street, and Rehan Zaroof, 19, of Oak Street, are both accused of attempted deception and possessing or having custody or control of a false instrument, on June 14.
Zaroof also faces two further similar allegations, involving £25,000, said to have taken place the day before.
The defendants did not enter pleas to the charges when they appeared at Burnley Magistrates Court.
They were bailed until January 31, for committal to the higher court, on condition they do not enter any Marsden Building Society.
