COMMUNITIES Secretary Hazel Blears underlined her Government post when she went out and about in Bury at the weekend.
The Salford MP knocked on a number of doors and spoke to residents during a visit to the town to co-incide with the Labour Party conference in Manchester.
She targeted homes in the Burns Avenue and Tennyson Avenue area of Bury last Saturday morning and was able to hear at first hand residents’ views on the party and the current economic climate.
Accompanying her during the stint was Bury North MP David Chaytor.
