A COMMUNITY radio station has received a £1,000 grant from a Bolton good causes fund.
The Provincial Trust for Bolton was set up in 1953 with just £15,000, but, because of wise investments, has since been able to give away hundreds of thousands of pounds to local causes.
The latest recipient is Bolton FM, run for the community by a team of more than 70 volunteers.
Bolton FM is currently broadcasting seven days a week via the internet at www.boltonfm.com. But the station has been granted an Ofcom licence and will start broadcasting live and on air in June 2009.
