Harry Potter magician heading to resort

The man who taught magic to Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe is to appear at Showzam, Blackpool's first festival of magic, circus and new variety.

Paul Kieve was magic consultant on the film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and he also privately tutors Daniel Radcliffe in magic.

He has also assisted celebrity magicians including Derren Brown and David Copperfield with their acts.

Paul is appearing at Showzam at 2.30pm on Thursday, February 21, to talk about his new book Hocus Pocus.

Other lighthearted and informative talks are on subjects including seaside entertainment, music hall and circus sideshow illusions.

All Showzam talks take place at the Grand Theatre Studio and start at 2.30pm, apart from a session with Laci Senior and Maureen Endresz from the Blackpool Tower Circus on Wednesday, February 20, which begins at 7pm.
