A WOMAN returned from a night out with friends to discover her partner had been more than friendly with one of her chums.
Magistrates heard that Victor Singleton was in a drunken stupor when his girlfriend looked at an incoming message and found it was from one of the girls she had just been out with.
“She checked his other messages from her and was left in no doubt that they were having an affair,” said Philippa White, prosecuting.
“She confronted him later and ended up being assaulted.”
Singleton, 24, of Rutland Place, Burnley, pleaded guilty to assaulting Hayley Walsh. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
