Darwen Santa Dash entries open

A THOUSAND Santas could be running through the streets of Darwen next month – all in the name of charity.
East Lancashire Hospice is to hold the first Darwen Santa Dash on November 17 as part of the Christmas lights switch-on in the town.
The 1km fun run costs £10 for adults, £5 for children or £25 for families of two adults and two children.
All adult entrants receive a Santa suit and children get reindeer antlers to make it a truly festive scene.
The dash will start outside Darwen Market at 6pm and head up Railway Road, turn down Knott Street, left on to Union Street, right on to Back Duckworth Street, left at George Street, then left on to Duckworth Street, down Market Street and back into the Market Square.
