A 25-YEAR-OLD man caught growing cannabis at his home did it to save money.
Blackburn magistrates heard John Parker had a ‘sophisticated’ set-up in the garage at his home.
But Jonathan Taylor, defending, said the growing facility reflected the clarity of the instructions freely available on the internet, rather that any degree of ‘skill or sophistication’ on his client’s part.
“You don’t have to be a skilled gardener, or anything like that, to put it into practice,” he said.
Parker, of Largs Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to producing cannabis. He was bailed for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
