Burnley ‘ASBO family’ sisters have cases dropped

TWO sisters – from a family which has five ASBOs – have had the cases against them dropped after improving their behaviour.

Interim anti-social behaviour orders had been in place against Chloe and Demi Murgatroyd, aged 14 and 15 respectively, for around two months.

Burnley Council and Lancashire police were set to apply for full orders at Burnley Magistrates' Court yesterday, but decided to withdraw the case.

Jonathan Jackson, prosecuting for Burnley Council, said: “We are withdrawing the cases against them both.

“I am pleased to say this can be chalked down to a successful interim anti-social behaviour order.

“Since they were given interim orders there have been no reports of any problems.

“They have started attending back at school and have been working with people and attending meetings as requested.”

However a hearing for a full ASBO against their dad, Stuart Murgatroyd, 41, was adjourned at the same court after he was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident on the court steps outside.

Murgatroyd and his partner Dawn Hughes live in Wickworth Street, Nelson, with their 10 children.

Speaking about Stuart Murgatroyd’s arrest, Mr Jackson told the court: “Unfortunately there has been an incident that has resulted in him being arrested and he is now in police custody this afternoon.”

An application for a full hearing will now take place on October 16.

Twin brothers Reece and Dillon Murgatroyd, both aged 13, have already been placed under two-year ASBOs by Reedley magistrates because of their behaviour between New Year’s Day and July 5.

Proof that scum beget scum. Sterilise anyone with an ASBO, far better solution.

I agree.
If this family support themselves I will eat my shoes.

So the taxpayer has essentially paid for these retards to spawn 10 more. What a nightmare.

Yes, and they'll keep shelling them out at one per year until he starts firing blanks or her egg production dries up. And why not, it's a guaranteed pay rise every year - a classic example of performance related pay! Scum.

Not a problem, when she stops laying there will be the delightful Chloe and Demi ready to take over.
