EIGHT wraps of what is suspected to be heroin have been seized from a house in Blackburn.
Officers from the Shadsworth neighbourhood policing team made the discovery in an upstairs bedroom at an address in Brodick Road.
They also discovered other drug paraphernalia, including weighing scales, and cutting agents.
Community Beat Manager PC Mike Kearns said: “We are determined to take action to tackle people suspected of dealing drugs and improve the quality of life for local residents.
“We need the community to work with us and I urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs to come forward.”
A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply heroin.
He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries and the drugs have now been sent off for forensic analysis.
Anyone with information about drugs should call police on 101.
