RESIDENTS in the Rosegrove and Lowerhouse area of Burnley are being reminded to keep their garages and sheds locked and secured after a spate of thefts.
Police have recorded a number of incidents in the last two weeks which have included the taking of power tools, bikes and storage facilities from properties.
Initial investigations have found that the goods were taken from a mixture of both locked and unlocked sheds and garages with police continuing to make enquires.
Sgt Michael Burnett, from Burnley’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “We urge residents to keep their sheds and garages, and property in general, locked and secured at all times.”
