Police officer guilty of misconduct after "assaulting" a boy

A SHAMED police officer has been convicted of misconduct in a public office after “assaulting” a boy.
Stephen Hudson, aged 43, of Gilliburns Walk in Westhoughton , was found guilty by a jury of eight men and four women, who convicted him unanimously.
The offence happened at Swinton custody suite on Saturday, March 5, last year.
CCTV footage was shown to the jury of Hudson using excess force three times on boy, who had been arrested for breaching a bail condition.
Judge Peter Davies said Hudson would not be jailed but said the he hoped his police serve is at an end. He will be sentenced on October 10.
