A LITTLE taste of Rio was delivered to a sun-kissed Burnley thanks to a ‘flash mob’ staged by the town’s light opera society.
Performers rehearsing for Copacabana, which will be staged later this year at Burnley Mechanics, delighted shoppers at Charter Walk with their impromptu run-through in the market square on Saturday.
The Barry Manilow classic, complete with dazzling sets, costumes and choreography, takes over the Manchester Road venue from November 10 to 17, from 7.30pm.
It is under the direction of Anthony Williams and musical expertise of Jonathan Chalker.
