Woman treated after collision

A WOMAN had to be taken to hospital for treatment after a two-car collision yesterday.
It happened at the junction of Accrington Road and Rosegrove Lane, Burnley, at around 8.20am.
A silver Peugeot 206 and a van were involved.
The road was closed for an hour as staff from the county council’s highway department were called to the scene to help clear up a spillage.
The woman was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with whiplash and leg injuries, the van driver escaped unharmed.
