Man dies in house blaze

A MAN has died in a house blaze.
Firefighters were called to Gladstone Street in Halliwell at just after 6.45pm.
An "intense" fire had engulfed the building.
The man, thought to be in his 50s, was discovered in dead in the front bedroom, as firefighters from Bolton, Bolton North and Farnworth battled to extinguish the blaze.
The cause of the fire is unknown and the investigation was expected to go on throughout the night.
Three fire engines and around 15 fire fighters tackled the fire.
