MP calls for a fairer deal at the pumps

AN INVESTIGATION is being demanded by a Bolton MP into why falling oil prices have not been passed on to drivers.
Bolton North East MP David Crausby has written to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to question why petrol prices are still high despite the falling cost of oil.
He is asking the OFT to initiate an investigation into oil companies for what he called ‘anti-competitive behaviour’.
The price of oil dropped 28 per cent between April and June but the average cost of petrol at the pumps only fell by five per cent the MP claimed.
Mr Crausby said: “The high cost of fuel is hurting local businesses and families.”

Yes I know I can snipe and remark in comments to my hearts content and my words will matter not... I might even get a reply by someone who cannot do one week without their car, cannot possibly not deliver a parcel, stop using public transport - maybe it could be that the smell of petrol is that addictive that people could not possibly keep away from a petrol pump for a week in protest.
OOPS now I just made myself a terrorist with my Occupy Wall Street type philosophy - oh well, it is a good job nobody is listening anyway.
