A 41-YEAR-OLD man who had a ‘weapon’ with the appearance of a baton, was given a curfew.
Burnley magistrates heard how Kenneth Mellon, an addict of 20 years, had been to buy amphetamine when he was caught with the object on Pratt Street. He was said to have found it and put it in his coat pocket a few days earlier.

He was given a three month curfew, between 9pm and 7am and a conditional discharge.
