Yobs smash 15 windows at Darwen primary school

FIFTEEN windows at a primary school were smashed by yobs last night.

Police said that in addition to the attack on Holy Trinity School, Bank Top, Darwen, last night there was also four windows smashed at St Paul’s Primary School in Hoddlesden.

In total the yobs are estimated to have caused £1,700 damage.

Officers have been stepped up patrols and are examining CCTV and speaking to local residents. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

Community Beat Manager PC Vanessa Lomax said: “This mindless vandalism has caused great inconvenience to both schools that have been left with expensive repair bills.

“We are treating these as separate incidents and are keen to find out who was responsible. I urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the areas or who has any information to contact us.”
