Fire crews called to four blazes overnight in Burnley

FIREFIGHTERS in Burnley were called out to four rubbish fires last night.

The first, in Kelly Street, was reported at 8.30pm. Rubbish being burned in a back yard saw the fire spread to the house, damaging a drainpipe.

Another rubbish fire was reported in Hufling Lane at 9.50pm, then another in Hobart Street at 11.40pm.

A skip fire at Hobart Street, reported around 1am, is thought to be linked to the previous rubbish fire, a Fire Service spokesman said.

Well if they'd have let them burn a bit longer they'd have spread and maybe got a bit better :-)
