Survey of cash machine usage

CONSUMER rights champions need help to research the difficulties people have when using cash machines.
Volunteers from Bury District Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) are looking into how people in the borough access their cash.
The study is designed to discover if the cash machines they use most regularly charge a fee and how it would affect people if they could only use cash machines provided by their bank.
The organisation’s social policy co-ordinator Gail Dewis said: “We want to understand more about how people get hold of their own money, whether there are any obstacles that stand in their way and, if so, what could be done to make it easier.
“Our network of bureaux allows us to get really good feedback and information from over 3,000 communities across the country so we expect to get some insightful findings.”
A survey can be filled in at www.adviceguide.org.uk or by visiting Prestwich CAB in Fairfax Road or Radcliffe CAB in Blackburn Street, before the end of March.
