AN investigation has been launched after a fire was started at an empty industrial unit in Burnley last night.
Firefighters spent around two hours tackling the blaze at the former Brunshaw Light Engineering premises, in Athletic Street, at around 11.45pm.
Watch manager Dominic Fellows said the fire started when some files, which had been piled up in a corner of the unit, were set alight.
He said the incident was being treated as suspicious and that the details had been passed to police.
