Motorway crashes cause traffic chaos for commuters
COMMUTERS faced travel chaos as two motorway crashes caused tailbacks.
Four cars collided on the M60 anticlockwise at junction 13 at Worsley. It caused delays on the M61 southbound to junction 5, Westhoughton and on the M62 to junction 22, Rishworth Moor.
The accident happened on lane one and was closed between 7am and 8.10am.
A crash also happened on M66 on the southbound carriageway between junction 1 at Ramsbottom and junction 2 at Bury just before 8am. A car and truck crashed – none of the people involved were injured. It caused the second lane to be blocked.
