VISITORS to Moss Bank Park will be able to board the Santa Express miniature railway this Christmas.
Youngsters will be able to go for a ride to visit Santa as he finishes making presents in his Toyland workshop. Once the train has returned to the station, children can enjoy the rides on the fairground and join in making Christmas cards.
Parents can sample treats such as free mince pies, hot chestnuts and refreshments, while entertainment will be provided by street artists and carols played a brass trio.
Cllr Elaine Sherrington, Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Cleaner, Greener, Safer, said: “With Christmas just around the corner, a ride to see Santa making presents is a magical experience for young children.”
The event has been organised by Bolton Council and SJK Leisure, and will be open from noon until 8pm.
The train will run from Saturday until next Thursday. A charge of £4 will apply for the train journey, with one accompanying adult riding free.
