LANCASHIRE Care NHS Foundation Trust wants people to take part in two new bipolar studies.

The studies will be carried out in partnership with the Spectrum Centre for Mental Health Research based at Lancaster University.

The first study is looking for anyone with a diagnosis of bipolar to help compare peer support with psychoeducation group psychotherapy.

The second study needs people diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the last five years to evaluate recovery-focused psychological intervention.

Professor Max Marshall, Lancashire Care's medical director, said: “Those who volunteer for this study will be making a real difference to treatment in the future.”
