BOLTON comic Dave Spikey will soon be dropping through the letter boxes of people across Greater Manchester.

The Phoenix Nights star is the face of Recycle for Greater Manchester’s latest campaign, which could see local people win £500.

As part of the campaign, people will receive an information pack featuring Dave Spikey.

This will tell them some of the common things that are often mistakenly put into the recycling bin.

They will also receive a sticker which can be put on to their bin, reminding them what can go inside it.

As part of the campaign residents are in with the chance of being a lucky instant winner simply by visiting the Recycle for Greater Manchester website and entering their ‘code’ printed in the information pack, which could see them win £500 of high street shopping vouchers.

Dave said: “It’s a tiny bit like the sign on the A6 near me that says ‘New Road Layout, Use Both Lanes’, which when I do really annoys the other drivers; so that can’t be right.

“So what I’m saying is this, just because it says ‘recyclable’, don’t take it literally because it’s not necessarily always the case here in Greater Manchester.”
