Lancashire Telegraph review by Jemma Humphreys from November 12, 2010
TRYING out a new takeaway can feel like a risk.
There’s nothing worse than waiting for your favourite dish to accompany an evening with friends to find you could have cooked better yourself.
But I’m both pleased a little relieved that this brand new restaurant and takeaway (that delivers) ticks every box.
Service is prompt, a four-person order took less than half an hour to arrive and was still fairly hot.
We went for a korma, a rogan josh, which had a super kick, and a balti, all with chicken to share and there was plenty for four people.
The portions were so generous that there was even some left over.
We also shared a naan which was was soft, without being soggy, and the rice was cooked perfectly.
The Bombay Lounge, is primarily a restaurant, so I think we’ll get our glad rags on and dine inside next time.
It’s reasonably priced too, with main dishes starting around £6.
