A WEBSITE set up in memory of murdered Sophie Lancaster received more than 90,000 hits after her mum appeared on a national radio show.
Sylvia Lancaster spoke movingly about the death of her daughter on BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show.
She told him how she has coped with her death three years on and about the work of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
The foundation's Facebook page had 90,000 hits in the 24 hours after the show while the award winning film, Dark Angel, made in Sophie’s memory, also received 40,000 hits.
Sylvia said the response to the interview was 'overwhelming' and 'a great comfort'.
Kate Conboy-Greenwood, a spokesman of The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, said: “ The whole response was really heartwarming.”
