THIS is an image of a man police want to speak to after a woman was slashed during an attempted robbery.
The e-fit has been released after two men wearing hooded tops demanded cash at Arietta music shop, Bridge Street, Darwen, at 9.10pm on Wednesday, October 20.
Owner Tracy Frankcom, who was alone inside the premises at the time, said she didn’t have any money, at which point one of the men grabbed her by the neck, produced a knife and cut her arm, before fleeing empty-handed.
Tracy, 40, who lives in Darwen, was taken to hospital and her injury was stitched up.
She said she was now afraid to be in the shop alone after dark.
The first man is described as Asian, late 20s, 6ft, slim, unshaven, wearing a dark hooded top, dark jeans, gloves and with a Lancashire accent.
The second is described as Asian, late 20s, 5ft 9in, medium build, round face, navy hooded top, dark jeans and a Lancashire accent.
Detective Sergeant Robert Anderson said: “This was a particularly nasty and cowardly attack on a lone woman who not only suffered a cut to her arm, but has been left incredibly shaken.
“I would ask people to take a close look at this image and if anyone recognises this man please get in touch.”
Anybody with any information can contact police on 08451 25 35 45 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
