Elderly man injured in morning collision

AN elderly cyclist has been taken to hospital after he collided with a vehicle in Tonge Moor Road.
The collision happened around 9am today at the junction with Crompton Way.
The man, whose identity is not yet known, was treated by paramedics as he lay in the road.
Three ambulances and two police cars attended the scene and traffic diversions are in place.
Enquires are ongoing into the cause of the collision and the extent of the man's injuries.
