THE Building A New Hospice For Bury campaign is asking people to show their support by paying for part of the new hospice.
Every inch of the new centre will cost £1 to build and there are 12 inches in a foot. The target of £2.5 million could be reached if every person in Bury gave £1 a month for the next 12 months.
Every person, school, organisation or company who donates to the campaign will be listed on the hospice’s Footfall Wall of Fame.
Michael Garrity, chairman of the hospice’s trustees, said: “We hope that people will get behind the fundraising campaign and leave their footprints in the foundations of the new hospice.
“We’ll also be calling on schools, clubs, community organisations and businesses to join together and pledge to raise money to fund a room or area.”
For more information call the campaign hotline on 0161 763 1545, visit building anewhospiceforbury.org.uk or go to the Building A New Hospice For Bury page on Facebook.
l—Tell us if you have raised money for the hospice and your name or organisation will appear in the paper and on the Bury Hospice module on our website.
