A 21-YEAR-OLD man from Accrington who robbed an Aldi cashier at knifepoint is facing a long stretch behind bars.
Kieran Devlin admitted robbing Lisa Taylor of £166 cash on June 14, when he appeared at Burnley Crown Court.
Devlin, of Juniper Court, Huncoat, had his sentence adjourned for reports until August 9.
He is already in prison as he is serving the balance of a sentence imposed last December, which will not end until November.
Recorder Philip Butler warned Devlin all options would be open to the court, and it was all but inevitable he would be further imprisoned.
The judge said the probation service would be asked to consider the question of further risk, and Devlin may be given an indeterminate sentence.
He continued: "There has to be a dangerousness assessment.
"If that reveals you are not a significant risk, you are still looking at a prison sentence of some length.
"You should be under no illusions about these matters."
