IT'S the news rock fans across East Lancashire have been waiting for Quazfest is back on August 5.

The ultimate tribute rock gig is coming to Burnley's Kestrel Suite.

Headlining will be organisers and Black Sabbath tribute band Slack Babbath.

2006 will be the first time the band have been on the bill since 2004, when they decided to split up for health reasons... they were sick of the sight of each other!

After much badgering from the public, they kept Quazfest going in 2005, headlined by Led Zeppelin tribute Led Balloon.

But after constantly being asked to re-form by fans, they decided to get back together and played their first return gig as part of the 2005 Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival.

The guys - Quazi Washboard (vocals), Tony I'm Lonely (guitars), Psycho Ward (drums) and Boozy Gutfull (bass) had so much fun, they decided to make the reunion permanent.

Joining the band will be DC/79 (AC/DC tribute), Kastrated (death metal band), Submerse (fast punk band) and Fusion (local rock band).

Quazfest 5, on Saturday, August 5, The Kestrel Suite, (just behind the Falcon), Cow Lane, Burnley, 2pm to 2am. Tickets are £6 or £7 on the door.
