A MULTI-MILLION pound bid for Clitheroe conservatory maker Ultraframe looks set to be finalised within the next two weeks.
The firm, the subject of a bid by a group led by Sale Sharks rugby team owner Brian Kennedy, can be taken over officially once more than 90 per cent of shareholders have agreed to sell their shares.
Today it was revealed that the bidders, Latium Holdings, have agreements from shareholders representing 89.1per cent of the firm.
Latium has now extended the deadline for the offer to July 14, and stockbrokers expect the final one per cent of shares to be handed to the firm in that time.
It has also been revealed that steps have been taken to take Ultraframe off the Stock Exchange, in a move to make it a private firm.
Ultraframe, founded in 1983 by businessman John Lancaster, was first floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1997.
The official cancellation of trading off stock is set to take place by August 8.
