Lancastrian soldiers serving in Iraq were involved in a full security alert at their base in Basra on Monday after a suspected vehicle bomb was detected at the main entrance to the camp.
Although no explosives were found, the incident coincided with a visit from the Duke of Westminster, a major general in the Territorial Army (TA).
He was making his first visit to Normandy Company of the newly formed 4th Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, during their operational tour in Iraq.
