A NEW home has now been confirmed for Nelson town centre’s main post office, in the town’s former Woolworth’s store.

The former branch, in the Victory Centre, closed last month amid questionmarks over where it would be relocated.

But Post Office officials have said part of the old Woolworth’s premises, in Place de Creil, will be used from tomorrow.

Post Office spokesman Ian Liley said: “This relocation will help to safeguard our presence in the community in the longer term, as well as providing a number of customer benefits.”

The new outlet will have level access, and opening hours are set to be extended to cover Saturday afternoons.
