A NEWCOMER on the high street attracts the takeaway reviewer like a moth to a flame.
So Omarji's was a natural choice for this week's column.
Having driven past it on the way home I couldn't face tackling driving back into town so I phoned through an order and had it delivered.
For value you'd be hard pressed to beat Omarji's two Indian meals plus delivery for just £8!
The takeaway also offers other fast food but I ordered a lamb bhuna with pilau rice for me and a chicken madras with chapattis for the better half.
Both regular and large portions are available and we found the regular size to be ample. The bhuna was nicely cooked with tender pieces of lamb in a potent sauce which offered a range of flavours.
The madras too was a flavour-packed dish and was rapidly dispatched.
