RUSH-HOUR drivers were pig sick' after a crash on a busy main road today.
A trailer carrying 16 pigs overturned on the A56 just after the Ramsbottom turn off at 7.30am.
The load, being towed by a Land Rover, was heading to an abattoir when the crash happened just north of junction one.
One lane of the road was closed for over an hour.
Police said the driver was unhurt and the pigs safely contained.
