BARROWFORD Post Office is set to move into the nearby Spar shop.
The facility will stop trading from its current location in Gisburn Road at 12.30pm on June 17 and will re-open again on June 26 inside the convenience store at Fountain Square.
A Post Office spokesman said: "As well as helping to safeguard our presence in the area, the relocation will allow us to provide improved facilities for our customers.
"The new branch will incorporate a purpose-built serving counter with low-level facilities for wheelchair users and an induction hearing loop.
"Opening hours will be increased, including lunchtimes and Tuesday afternoons, and there is level access at the entrance with automatic doors."
During the short period of closure, customers will be advised to use Nelson Post Office in the Victory Centre or any post office of their choice.
